The Torch is equipped with a probe bay, which can be used to launch various types of probes/missiles. In its default configuration, the Torch starts with three sensor probes, which can be used to extend the range of the ship&amp;#039;s sensor suite in a direction for a brief amount of time.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Probes aren&amp;#039;t the only thing that can be launched. A large variety of missile can be configured.&lt;br /&gt;

== Operation ==&lt;br /&gt;

# Open the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;munitions control program&amp;#039;&amp;#039; on a console. You may have to download it.&lt;br /&gt;
# Select one of the missiles that come with the Torch to configure it.&lt;br /&gt;
# Select a part to configure. For the probe, you&amp;#039;ll have to configure both.&lt;br /&gt;
# For the sensor probe, configure a range.&lt;br /&gt;
#* Higher ranges use more power, so the probe won&amp;#039;t last as long.&lt;br /&gt;
#** You can swap in a higher power cell to the sensor probe, if you choose!&lt;br /&gt;
# Then, configure the thruster with an X-Y point on the overmap to scout.&lt;br /&gt;
# Click &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Load&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; on the loading bay you just configured, to move the the missile is on to the main belt. Press it again once it&amp;#039;s on the main belt.&lt;br /&gt;
# Click &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Load&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; on the launcher to bring it to the fore.&lt;br /&gt;
# Click &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;ARM&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Once you do, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;there is no turning back!&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
# Click &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;FIRE&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. The missile is away!&lt;br /&gt;
# Confirm on the system map the missile has made it!&lt;br /&gt;

== Components ==&lt;br /&gt;
A missile is generally made up of two things:&lt;br /&gt;
* A &amp;#039;&amp;#039;payload&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, which is what the missile is trying to accomplish&lt;br /&gt;
* A &amp;#039;&amp;#039;thruster&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, which is how it gets there&lt;br /&gt;

There are two ways to configure components on a missile:&lt;br /&gt;
* Multitool on the component while it&amp;#039;s outside of the missile&lt;br /&gt;
* Through the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;munitions control program&amp;#039;&amp;#039; with a console, if the missile is resting on a &amp;#039;&amp;#039;payload interface&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
